Why develop a CWPP?

A CWPP can help a community, county, or region clarify and refine its priorities for life, property, and critical infrastructure in the wildland urban interface (WUI). Each CWPP is different because each plan is specific to the needs of the residents within the project area. Our goal is to provide comprehensive and collaborative plans that will assist Utah regions, counties, and communities, and government agencies, in reducing the risk of catastrophic wildfire within the region. Some possible issues that may be addressed include wildfire response, hazard mitigation, structure and water source protection, education, and community preparedness.
