  • Designate an emergency meeting place outside your home.

  • Practice emergency exit drills regularly.

  • Make sure that electric service lines, fuse boxes, and circuit breaker panels are installed and maintained as prescribed by code.

  • Contact qualified individuals to perform electrical maintenance and repairs.
